We always say that Celtic Colours is a marathon, not a sprint. So pace yourself. Why not kick back with some friends and a brew tonight? On the menu are trios from Scotland and PEI, Cape Breton’s hottest young Celtic band and a popular singer who’s right here at home. The East Pointers are from our sister Island, and on the eastern tip of PEI they grew up listening to CJFX radio from across the water, where they heard all the best of Cape Breton’s fiddlers. Now with fiddle, banjo, guitar and songs they’ve created their own sound and taken it around the world. Scottish piper Fin Moore has been to Celtic Colours many times since our first year, and is back with his trio. Còig began as a “taste of Celtic Colours” promotional tour in the US and developed into an amazing and exciting band that tours everywhere. Darrell Keigan grew up just down the road and he brings new life to every song he sings. There are still two more days to go. Take a stroll down by the picturesque Baddeck waterfront and watch the sun set on the Bras d'Or Lake before hitting the town with our Celtic Colours performers tonight.
